TWC cited financial problems as the reason for the layoffs, so i fully expect they would have happened, NBC or not. Lest you've forgotten, NBC isn't running TWC. TWC is still its own entity.

As for the half-marathon..well, you never know.

I'm sure TWC will rebuild once things get better, but I'm sure things will have a different focus by that point.

I think what's gone will stay gone. As Steve said, TWC will surely rebuild when times improve, and other things will certainly take the place of everything that was axed.

And while I agree, global warming isn't going anywhere. Once the economy is stable again, I do see a Forecast Earth-esque show coming back.

I'm going to miss Jorma, he was a good field reporter, I don't really care about Tetiana. She's just not "interesting" or special with her reports plus she only covers NYC.

I was never particularly attached to either one, so as always I hate seeing anyone get laid off, but I won't miss them on TV, that;s for sure.

I've been laid off and know the pain of it. It's not a fun time, that's for sure. If anything, its very scary.  :yes:

If TWC lays off Cantore, then that would be the biggest mistake TWC wouldve done. Cantore is a legendary OCM for the channel. He's probably the highest paid as well
