I was just watching the end of yesterday morning's FO, and to paraphrase Jen...

"We've been over [in the HD studio] rehearsing, so you should see us in HD pretty soon."

Interesting, I would assume FO rehearsals means that they're within 2-3 weeks of going HD, and I wouldn't be surprised if they go HD even before Weekend View; perhaps it could be as early as Monday.

I wonder what the last show to move into the HD will be? My guess is Weather Center. It was the first show that is still around to broadcast from the old studio, and I think it very well could be the last, too.

I'd say either Weekend Outlook or Weather Center, seeing how they were one of the last to have their graphics changed in 2005 and they are likely the least popular to this day.

Yeah, Weekend Outlook is probably furthest down on the TWC **** list, so either that show or WC will probably be last.

Look at the terrible graphics work (that's not even done yet) for Weekend Outlook; that might be an indication.

Not to mention the non-4:3 safe WO opener - apparently, Weekend Outlook is now "Weekend Outloo" for SD viewers. :P

Crap, I forgot to tell Chris about that. I should get that sent by tomorrow (but probably won't see action until the weekend afterward at the earliest).

I agree; it has the cozy feel of their old set with the small desk and the map behind it combined with the stunning appearance of HD.

I really like the map backdrop used behind that desk. It reminds me of the backdrop that was used back in early 1999, which looked quite similar to this new one.
