Wow, that A&B opener is awesome! 

i wonder what will happen to weekend view- will they be moved to the big desk too....my guess is that they moved their HD Cameras from the a & b / wv studios to the HD Studio, but thats just my guess.

Probably. And if that does indeed happen, then Weekend View will be at the big desk for quite a while, as Weekend View isn't supposed to go HD until July 12.

Why isn't Cantore in HD like they said he'd be for A&B?

As for the studio, the issue might be that the new graphics clash horribly with the red/orange/yellow A&B set.

To be honest, after watching my tapes from YWT this morning, I wasn't too impressed with the projection/video screens. They're just too small in SD and it looked too washed out. Maybe that was my tape, but I'll have to wait to see it live during EE tonight. I just think the chroma key walls look much better.

I agree with you to a large extent. I'll bet to SD viewers that the 1A broadcasts actually look better than the HD broadcasts because of the green screens. The direction they took certainly isn't quite like their "HD Vision" video from March. I wonder if the HD STAR will even look like it's depicted in that video.

This morning at the end of First Outlook they didn't check in with the YWT team, nor did they check in with the EE team at the end of A&B tonight.

I'm still not liking the video projection screens. I thought we wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the projectors and the key walls. I can definitely tell the difference.

They blew it big time at the start of EE. They left the pillar bars up for the first four minutes. Talk about a failure; they should be on top of this stuff.

Anyone notice that the cameras at the projector walls seem to be a bit crooked? Or is that just an optical illusion because the video wall is curved?

I REALLY like how the new format of the teases for YWT and EE... nice big flashy titles rather than a generic L3 that says "COMING UP..." etc. Very professional, and puts TWC up there with the other big networks.

From what I've seen so far, the conversion to HD has been the best change in years. Everything looks professional, and very eye-catching.


Does anyone have the Day Planner open? Or vid/cap of the L3s?

Speaking of teasers, PM Edition did not use a recorded teaser tonight. I wonder if they just didn't have the teaser ready tonight (and thus they would still use a recorded teaser), or if they're going to just use a live teaser from now on.
