I must give it a try then. In DirecTV, do i have to order a seperate HD package along with a normal package  or can i just order and have the HD Package? I really like to check TWC HD out
You have to order the HD channels separately. Also, you have to have an HD receiver.

I have an HDTV. It makes the SD programming look very detailed

It depends whether or not the network upconverts their programming. For example, TWC upconverts all of their studio programming; even though it's not true HD, the picture clarity is still amazing.

You will need to purchase regular TWC in order to get TWC HD. Yeah, it i know it stinks <_<

No, you get both; they're right next to each other on the lineup as long as you actually get TWC HD. You would, of course, need an HD receiver with the HD package.
