Anyone watching Storm Session? I tuned in around 9:30, and so far, it's very interesting, and  quite informing. I like it!

I think it's pretty good too, but I gotta agree with Mike about the worst case scenario Stephanie came up with. It doesn't seem believable.

Yeah, there's no way a tropical system would remain hurricane strength while on NYC if it made landfall on the Gulf Coast unless the system were to move REALLY fast.

Is there only one episode of Storm Session that will air continuously air this week, or is it a miniseries?

AFAIK, it's only one episode. Not saying this for sure, but I think that's the case.

I just noticed this...

On the Weekly Planner for First Outlook...

Instead of showing all maps for precipitation then all maps for temperatures, the maps were organized by day. For example, Monday's Forecast would show then Monday's Highs would follow.

When did this start?

I'm guessing it was like that since the June 2 relaunch. I know before that they had a 7 Day Business Planner that had precipitation forecasts, followed by another segment called 7 Day Business Planner Temperatures.

Does First Outlook still do the Business Week Barometer and the International Business Travel segments?

No, it was never like that until this week. I think I saw this done on other shows as well, but I'm not sure.

They still do the Business Week Barometer every Tuesday and Thursday, but I think there's no longer a special name for the International segment.

Hmm, I haven't seen this yet, but it sounds like a good idea to me!

I believe I saw the same concept on Your Weather Today as well

I like the idea.

Didn't PME's segment openers used use the music from the main opening theme? I thought they used to, but now they seem to use the music that was occasionally used from the on-the-fly openers and I think one of WN's and FO's opener from 2005-2008.

AFAIK, the noise made during the new PME openers is part of the PME package. PME used to use the theme music for the segment openers while in studio 1A, but apparently production is different in the HD studio.

I noticed today that they finally put Weather Center logos in the projector wall divider instead of simply using a standardized divider like they did when the show first moved to the HD studio. Anyone know when this happened?

Alex Wallace is up next to fill in for Nick Walker. Is this his HD debut?

No, I think he was on Weekend Outloo last weekend or the weekend before.

I think the only person not in HD yet is Warren.
