Im new here so the newbie I am I guess this is worth my first post...

Im loving the new Local L-Bar (guessing thats what you guys call it, lol)

The sun icons are too bright it might as well be an orange blob on the forecast...

The L3 Graphics (not the Local L-bar) looks nice but looks really squished... It seems that the actual video broadcast is shrinking. Now half the screen is graphics used and the other half is video. Hmmm Im wondering what happend to the good ol'days where there was just one Local L-Bar and the broadcast. I can't complain too much because the new L-Bar is awesome (looking). I guess with graphics getting more and more "Awesome" I wonder when TWC is just gonna go virtual? lol

Welcome to TWC Today!! :)

And nope, it's the LDL (Lower Display Line), not L-Bar. ;)

Thanks for the welcome, and Ahh I new I was close. I guess thats whatcha come to expect from a Newb. lol

I think they change the LDL because of something to do with their HD Studio?
Nope just typical changes for them. Icons based on feedback, etc

I just saw them use the XL icons on air

For real? That would be awesome if these icons were a joke and they brought the XL ones back. The raindrops on these new ones look total catoon-ish, while the XL ones were designed just perfectly. However, I really like the new LDL. For some reason, it reminds me of the XL LDL, even though they don't look anything alike.

I saw it too!!!!  Earlier today, Stephanie was using the telestrator to emphasize snow on the east coast and she plopped 4 old-school snow icons on, cleared them, then put two more on.  I laughed.

Yep that was it!!! You didn't capture it by any chance did you?? I remember when they used to "plop" the icons on like that. One time Dave Schwartz plopped like 15 of the XL thunderstorm icons on top of each other to illustrate a squall line. :P

lol sorry for going OT. I'll take my reminiscing elsewhere..

I can't recall whether it was before or after the 9:08 AM ET LF.... But I know at least it was somewhere between 9:02 and 9:20.

It made me laugh when I saw it pop up.  I figured that they wouldn't even have older icon sets on their computers anymore for just that reason.
