9:30 CT

New blue HD L3s for Day Planner.
I noticed that. I wonder why First Outlook never got new lowerthirds this morning.

FO will hopefully get their (orange?) ones tomorrow morning.

I wonder if these things are being made up today, what would explain these odd delays?

I'm thinking all their graphics personnel was not on duty until Your Weather Today began at 7 ET.

Although, come to think of it, I'd guess they wanted to preserve the first look at the HD appearance until YWT began. Still doesn't explain why it took a half hour to get the DP L3s going.

The segment formerly known as "Weekend Outlook" prior to 2003 has officially made a comeback this era in the form of the "Weekend Forecast" segment so as to not interfere with with show "Weekend Outlook".

And now Viz|Weather just locked up for the first time today, leaving Jennifer with nothing but Titan Radar since all of the maps are on Viz now.

I expect to see lots of bloopers, problems, etc. today. Anytime you have brand new equipment being put into use for the first time that sort of ting is practically inevitable.

all their graphics (all shows i've seen so far, well two :P YWT, DP) have some sort of related theme to each other, but i can't seem to figure it out, maybe its the music...idk. lol

As for the new TWC HD "everything", WOW. What an amazing upgrade.
THIS is what I've been waiting for... and for years.

Unfortunately, I don't have TWC HD yet, but when I do, I'm sure I'll be even MORE impressed!

I did record onto DVD parts of First Outlook (5 to 5:25 AM) and Your Weather Today (7 to 7:25 AM).
I want to leave room on the same DVD to record as much as the full first hour of Evening Edition tonight
(got 1:08 of free space left). Part of why I am being conservative is that I want to record in SP speed
to preserve a good picture quality. The top speed is XP (1:12 of disc space).

One thing I see is missing from the new blue LDL for the SD feed. There is no date displayed after we see
the Local Weather ID. Hopefully Tyler or anybody that participated in the beta testing can point this out.

Master controlled Day Planner is still using the LIVE tag, even though it covers up the new title bars.

Another nitpick on weekly planner: Why are the city labels covering up a good chunk of the map?
