This STORM:CON is definitely a good idea and better than naming winter storms, IMO, I just worry that TWC will begin to take something useful and then overuse it.  Hopefully we won't see HURRI:CON or QUAKE:CON or something in the near future...

The whole 'con' part of these scales they make really just doesn't sound right to me. con? Really? I'd think they could find a better name than that.

Why is TWC still showing the LOT8s intro from Hurricane Sandy?
Because nowhere on the intro does it indicate Sandy
It resembles a hurricane though, because of the fact it takes place at a dock with high waves.

TWC now has a winter "Storm:con" index similar to the tornado "Tor:con" index.

I just can't take them serious with their winter storm coverage anymore .

But, I guess if it gets ratings, why not?

A little off topic, but one of my professors worked as a behind the scenes meteorologist at TWC a while back, and it's so funny to hear him rant about the current state of the channel.

TWC has extended live coverage for Draco and storms in the south.
Day Planner is on 11am-3pm and Weather Center Live should be on 3pm-11pm.

They were playing "Christmas is Coming" by Vince Guaraldi during the segment at 7:42pm ET
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

That was Terrance, one of the producers who speaks in the IFBs... I miss Cantore and Steele though.... It is sad also that Kevin Robinson was left without a show when the July 2009 changes came around so they placed him on the 7pm Weather Center.

Cantore and Steele were a great pair indeed it was one of the few live programs Ive watched on TWC in 2009 especially during Vortex 2. Robinson was let go when again?

I believe he left on his own terms in December 2009.

Yeah, I think Kevin chose to leave after his contract expired.

Off topic, I'm surprised they didn't bring that song back. It fits in perfectly with their current music.

This is incorrect. He got a chief meteorologist job I think in Ohio at that time.
