Recieved a special weather bulletin a few days ago that read
... A shot of heavy rain moving through the area...
Doppler radar is showing a developing area of heavy rain in the
Raritan valley and the immediate Philadelphia area. This area will
be moving east central New Jersey between now and 10 mph. Mesonet
stations are reporting rainfall rates of around one quarter of an
inch per hour. Anyone driving over the next couple of hours should
be alert for heavy rain and ponding of water in poor drainage
areas. Where possible please take roadways that are not less flood
prone. This rain is moving fairly quickly and should not cause
any problems with streams or rivers or cause widespread roadway
flooding.
I've boldfaced the mistake. I knew rain could move houses but never parts of a state. Surprised they didn't catch it.
