You could try using DVD-RW's. With those, you can erase and reburn them 100+ times. They shouldn't cost much higher than non-erasable DVD's.

But like I said in my post, your burner has to be capable of burning DVD-RWs.

If you don't mind me asking, why do get severe weather in your area every week?
Not quite every week, but we do get thunderstorms (not always necessarily severe) often. They don't call Florida the lightning capital of the national (and yet they call it the sunshine state :P) for no reason! ;)

If I had a way to burn it to a DVD, capture it, and then erase it, I wouldn't have to wait until I had 5 videos.
Is your DVD burner a DVD-RW? If so, you could burn a DVD-RW (the blank DVD HAS to be a DVD-RW, though), which means you could erase it after you've finished.
I have a DVD-RW burner, but the DVDs I use aren't DVD-RW. I'll check and see if my parents have one...

A tornado watch is in effect until midnight CDT.

Here's an IntelliSTAR clip, from 7:28 PM CT during Epic Conditions/Weather Ventures. This time, I took it with a digital camera, so the quality is much better, and audio was recorded along with the clip, so I didn't have to manually insert music. :)

How come there is no narration for the CC screen?

There isn't enough time for the CC narration to play during the one minute and sometimes the 1:30 flavors when a weather bulletin is present.

It was quite a rainy start to the day this morning, but fortunately it has cleared up and is now sunny. Here's an emulator clip from 4:18 PM CT today. Features "Midnight Picnic" by EKO, and a configuration change based on a clip of my real 4000 from 1997 (

Captured a clip of my IntelliSTAR's warning crawl as a severe thunderstorm developed (due to daytime heating) one county away from here (in Alabama), at 2:52 PM CT.

The afternoon heat can bring thunderstorms along with it, and that's certainly been the case this afternoon. We got a nice soaking thunderstom here, and at point, we got lightning that disrupted a circuit on our circuit breaker! :o

Here's the current radar:
