Total snow accumulations from Sunday at 7 AM to Monday at Midnight was 4.5 inches. A lot of blowing and drifting, and wind chills are currently -5, with a temp of 12 under Partly Cloudy skies. School has been cancelled throughout much of Michigan, including my district, Monroe Public.

After temps in the mid 50's to start the year with thunderstorms, temperatures are back in the 20's. A dusting of snow forecasted tonight, with a few other weak clipper systems in the next 5-7 days. About 10-15 days from now, though, a major storm setup could effect the Great Lakes with potentially heavy snow. Still in the long range, though.

Winds gusted to 60mph around 5AM-6AM this morning as a deepening low pressure system pssed through the area. My power was knocked out just after 5AM EDT and remains out, probably until 10PM EDT tonight. I'm using a public computer right now since there's no power at my house. Temperatures are around 49, with Mostly Cloudy skies and windy conditions. Sustained winds of 25-30mph, gusting to 40-45 mph remain and will persist through the day today.
