New Q2 programming schedule released
« on: April 11, 2008, 11:13:32 PM »
The earlier posting of the new HD studio construction video on twcmediakit.com led me to check the site for further updates, and sure enough, the schedule has been tweaked a little. We now know that the Tuesday airings of Epic and WxVentures have not been accidental; those shows are now getting the limelight on Tuesday, and in addition to that, both shows will also replace ICHT and FFN respectively on weekend afternoons, meaning that ICHT and FFN are now off the regular schedule.

ICHT was a pretty good show. Are there any plans in releasing new episodes for that show?

IMO, ICHT was a glaring example of the fluff that TWC was turning to. Apparently they found that mass drama was not the way to go.  :whistling:

Great to see Weather Classroom is actually still on the schedule, and on top of that, it's scheduled to be on for a full hour.

WxClassroom was always listed like that despite its 30 minute run time.

I still think it might be gone for good despite what that says.

Very nice schedule. I would like to see ICHT air new episodes too. :( I hate FFN. They only had 6 episodes and showed them over and over and over...

Thanks Mike!  :sunglasses:

That schedule looks interesting. I wish they'd do something with the weekday midday programming. Mid-afternoon 'long-form' programming is rediculous. Also, IMO, should trim down the mid-morning shows. If I were in charge, I'd totally do this:

FO 5-7
YWT 7-9
DP 9-11
WC 11-2 (First hour -- full controlled).

Moreover, It's becoming extremely obvious to me that TWC dropped AO for two reasons: to make room for A&B AND more importantly to make room for 2PM ET long-form programming.  <_< :hmm:

The weekday 2:00 PM ET hour of long form programming came over a year after A&B premiered and AO was dropped.

Right. But let's say TWC never premiered A&B: there would still be no room for AO if they just had 2PM long-form programming.

Afternoon Outlook could co-exist with the long-form programming at 2pm et and no A&B. Here's how I would see it working:

First Outlook 4am-7am
Your Weather Today 7am-10am
Day Planner 10am-12pm
Weather Center 12pm-2pm
Storm Stories 2pm-3pm
Afternoon Outlook 3pm-5pm
PM Edition 5pm-8pm
Storm Stories 8pm-8pm
Evening Edition 9pm-11pm
Storm Stories 11pm-12am
Evening Edition West Coast 12am-4am
(all times eastern)
