WeatherSTAR Tech Support / IS 24629 Change Requests
« on: May 21, 2012, 04:51:22 PM »
Hi STAR Team,

I am not too sure if you can make these changes, but:

Is it alright if you can zoom in 24629's metro map slightly and include the cities of Brandon and Plant City? This STAR serves the whole county and the weather can be significantly different between the city of Tampa and the eastern Hillsborough County suburbs (such as Brandon, Plant City, Dover, Seffner, Mango, etc), such as in the winter time when lows are about 5-10 degrees cooler in the suburbs than in the city.

Also, because the STAR serves the whole county and not just Tampa itself, could the forecast title be changed to "Hillsborough County"? The other STARs on the same cable system in the surrounding counties have their forecast titles as the county name.

Thanks for any consideration.

P.S. -- Patrick (phw115wvwx) approved this request

Hello STAR Team,

I noticed an issue a while back, but is still not fixed as of  this evening, but while watching Coast Guard Alaska, and while they run the live weather updates, the FB/Twitter logo cues in place and it covers up some of the OCM's face and information being shown in the upper-right window. Can this be looked into? Thanks! :)

PS - it's happening on STAR ID #24131 which is the national DirecTV STAR.. I have attached a snapshot of the error if it can be fixed

« on: December 28, 2011, 01:37:51 PM »
Hello STAR Team,

I am not sure what's causing this, but the current conditions seen on the CC screen/LDL temp tab are different that what's on the metro/regional maps. I'll provide screenshots below.

Can this be looked into? Thanks.

General Discussion / Happy Thanksgiving, TWC Today!
« on: November 24, 2011, 09:10:35 AM »
Happy Thanksgiving to all members of TWC Today! Remember to be thankful for any family and friends that you know and love!

What are some Thanksgiving traditions your family has? This is a recently starting tradition for my family, but we would have our large dinner at my house with my grandmother, then tomorrow head up to Ocala, Florida to see my grandfather (both grandparents are of my mother's side, but split decades ago).

Now what's this topic without a turkey? :P
