Local Forecast / "Free Man in NJ" by Marc Muller now available
« on: February 11, 2017, 09:54:17 AM »
I haven't been here in a long time, but I still do track TWC music every now and then and just the other day I found out that Marc Muller released his TWC hit "Free Man in NJ" for download back in December last year! It's available on CDBaby, Google Play Music, and Amazon; I haven't checked iTunes yet.

The song was known for its airtime in the March/April 2010 and May/June 2011 playlists.

! No longer available

Enjoy guys!

Help and Support / Local weather temporarily unavailable?
« on: August 27, 2016, 06:48:57 PM »
Hi Brian,

I'm not sure if there's anything you can do about this, but when I go to run the simulator, all I get is the unavailable screen. When I try to log into CINE to configure my data, it hangs when I try to submit my location.

My STAR ID is Zach.

Thanks!

General Emulator Discussion / Traffic's working again! (sort of...)
« on: April 24, 2015, 12:17:23 PM »
So I fired up the weatherscan local emulator today and out of curiosity, I noticed that the traffic map was working again! :thrilled:

However, it appears that incidents don't work, because I saw this on the next slide:

Just passing the word onto you guys if you want to try it out, and to Brian if he didn't know yet

I saw TWC today again on BHN, and they're now letterboxing their IS2 feed onto SD. Although I think it's pretty neat to see the IS2 now, I'll still miss 24629 :(

If I were to say something though, this is something I'd be against, unless TWC themselves were the ones letterboxing HD onto SD. Why? The text on screen is barely readable on the SD feed, and because the network themselves does not send out the feed this way.

Here's a couple screengrabs I got.

Hello STAR Team,

I'm not sure if y'all are aware of this, but yesterday morning, I noticed on IntelliStar 24131, the national DirecTV IntelliStar, the weather all the time update somehow got pushed to this STAR, and it's displaying the internal clock and is stuck on pacific time.

Is this intentional or not? If not, then please do look into the issue! Thanks!  :)

General Emulator Discussion / Suggestion: Custom Local Radar Maps..
« on: March 17, 2013, 05:36:06 PM »
Hey Brian, I have a little suggestion.. is it at all possible for you to implement custom local radar map boundaries? Seeing how the Wunderground radar API makes this possible with their maxlon/maxlat and minlon/minlat strings, I thought it was a good idea :)

Here's some examples of custom maps I did:

State view

Local view

..or maybe even a neighborhood view

The tool I used to determine the max and min longitude and latitude information was this little site: http://www.birdtheme.org/useful/googletool.html

It's just a suggestion, and if it's possible to implement this, I would love to see it! :D

Weatherscan Discussion / Weatherscan (IS)... ¿en español?!
« on: December 01, 2012, 06:55:09 PM »
I remember last year mentioning how the Gainesville, FL Weatherscan on Cox had products in Spanish.. well it's still true to this day, and I got pictures of it this time. Enjoy. :)

General Discussion / Happy Thanksgiving!
« on: November 22, 2012, 09:56:51 AM »
Happy Thanksgiving to all fellow members of the TWC Today/TWC Classics Forums!  :)

I hope everybody here has a good day and enjoys time with their family, whether it's family coming to see you or you going to see family. Just remember to be safe when traveling!

As a tradition, my grandmother is coming over to have dinner with me and my folks and our dinner plans are large: meat loaf, turkey, stuffing, Harvard carrots, green bean casserole, scalloped potatoes, bread rolls and cranberry sauce.  :D

Anyways, to start my holiday, I made a little something..  :P

Help and Support / Harmonic Tides - Invalid Location?
« on: October 12, 2012, 03:53:23 PM »
Hey Brian, thanks for fixing the issue with the extended forecast! However, I am noticing another new issue coming up. In CINE, when I try to get tides configured, I follow the directions as follows, but then at the top I get an error in red that says "Location, "<location>" can't be found! Try copy/paste method.", and I am copying/pasting the title.

Thanks!

Help and Support / Radar Maps?
« on: October 10, 2012, 04:26:31 PM »
Hey Brian, I'm not sure if this is an issue you can fix or not, but the radar maps seem to be using the actual maps instead of the Satellite imagery maps.

Thanks if you can look into it.

EDIT: Btw, my user ID is Zach.

I'm not sure how long she's been with TWC officially, but this one probably went unnoticed on here since she does online forecasts and (for now), online forecasts only. I know that I remember seeing her back in April or May doing the forecasts for Tampa. Here's the information on her Facebook https://www.facebook.com/WeatherKyla/info

And here's a video of her:
