They're also using the EE LIVE tag; that should also change later in the show. :P

They really lost it during the 3:40 PM CT hour of WC. When Jeff was at the key wall, they accidentally displayed nothing but a black screen on the key well for several seconds; then, after Jeff was done, he tossed to Vivian at the desk, and the camera suddenly started rotating to the left, focusing on the empty seat next to Vivian for the entire time that she was talking.

That's the Hurricane Central wall, which is the only key wall in 1A. For some reason, they never bothered to install proper lighting for that key wall, so we're stuck with it until the HD relaunch. The old key walls were in 1B, so they can't use them anymore. It looks like Vivian might be using the key wall in the A&B/WV studio judging by the tight camera angle being used. Either that, or they might have left one key wall in 1B running; Viv is using a wired SkyTracker clicker after all, and I don't think they have those in the A&B studio. If they were in the A&B studio, that would be an annoying trip for the OCMs to have to use a studio so far away from the one they're in. I wonder if they would play Rock, Paper, Scissors to determine who has to make the arduous trek back and forth between studios for the entire show.

One cool thing about the Hurricane Central wall is that the OCM there can chat with Dr. Forbes since it's so close to the Expert Desk. Jeff did just that earlier during the Weekly Planner.

Everything Else TWC / Re: Changes in First Outlook come Monday...

A lot has changed in master these days though. The new production format is almost akin to what can be done from the normal control room, and there has to be some explanation for why there's such a difference in what a master production looks like at different times of the day. Before June 2006, almost every master production did seem the same, but then all of a sudden we started seeing all kinds of odd camera shots being used as well as the use of transitional effects. Things really took off in June 2007 when the aforementioned new production format started, and shortly thereafter, master gained access to the library of production music that the normal control room had been using since 2006, and we've seen a whole bunch of different production styles come out of master. What could explain why the Saturday edition of PM Edition Weekend is produced so poorly, almost always without music and with tons of glitches, but yet the Sunday edition of PM Edition is produced with tons of music, unique transitional effects, and good production. One night, Adam Berg even complimented Dwight on "his choice" of music for the show.

Has something changed with Master protocol?

They started with the EE backdrop and then switched to the YWT backdrop.

Only the side wall has an FO backdrop.

And yes, the thing that Kim and Jen accidentally told us that "they think we'll like" is indeed nothing but studio 1A (big desk).

Well, it finally happened. Studio 1B is over and done with. Nick Walker is doing the first hour of First Outlook from the big desk. (1A)

You know, when Marshall was growing up, he had a tendency to act up, so his parents would always yell, "Marshall! 'Seese' what you're doing right now or you're going to be grounded for a week!"

OCMs & Personalities / Adam Berg

I guess we don't have a topic just for him here yet, so here we go.

Tonight shows why I like Adam Berg; tonight he introduced the MLB Opening Day forecasts by saying, "Grab your Human Growth Hormone and your pine tar; it's time for Opening Day!"

Everybody say it with me now...

OLD!

Nah, just teasing ya, Billy! :)

BTW, there's also a long form show out there (Full Force Nature, maybe?) that uses the PME going-to-break teaser music.

That was an early finish. Somehow they wound up running two minutes ahead of schedule.

Well, EEWC, presumably the last show from 1B, is on the air now with Cheryl Lemke as OCM with the great Dwight Milliner in Master Control, who introduced the show with that violin-sounding song from the current playlist. Is that a Bradley Joseph song?
The only song with a violin I can think of this month is "A Great Day" by Miles Stiebel. Here's a satellite clip.

Yeah, that's it. Thanks for the ID.

He has a very distinctive style of playing LF music when they come back from break and go to break, in addition to using non-standard transitional effects; Adam Berg and Bob Stokes (when he was still at TWC) have identified him for us in the past; Cheryl's not the sort to do that, and I'm guessing she also won't say anything about the studio if this is indeed their last broadcast from there.
