I found TWC in 1987 and liked it then. I also liked the music in that era -- never cared for the direction the music took after about 1990. They had a great cast back then, and 1987-1990 was, in my opinion, TWC's best.

Early 90s would be a close second.

Laying off Dave Schwartz was a huge mistake.

When MTV started in the early 80s, they were much better than they are now. Sadly, I can say the same for TWC, which seems to have adopted more of a variety show aspect than that of disseminating meteorological information. Yes, they've broadened their horizons, but I don't care much for some of their changes.

Dave was a keeper. I hope he finds better employment someplace else -- hopefully on a national scale so we can all continue to see him -- and can later thumb his nose back at whoever it was who ultimately sealed his fate.

Bad choice, TWC.

I was on a storm chase in Oklahoma in 2001 and saw him on one of the local stations near OKC. After that, I couldn't tell you, but sometimes you can find their whereabouts by poking around your favorite search engine.
