Buy a Weatherstar XL at my house?!
« on: March 23, 2010, 05:01:15 PM »
I REALLY want a Weatherstar XL/4000 at my house like really really bad, but I am not really able to get it. My parents will probably yell at me if they find out, and I know they cost lots of money. Plus, there are probably none for sale anywhere right now. Should I continue pursuing this idea?

You're saying like.. your own 4000/XL system?

There are not that many of them selling online. I heard that someone bought a Jr. on ebay. So, you probably want to keep your hopes up there. And consider saving a lump of money, too.

Him.

1. Its not technically legal
2. You will never be able to ever use it
3. All you will have is a nice paperweight.... in terms of the XL a big ass 68lb paperweight.
4. You are probably about 11 years old, you have spread numerous false reports around. I have a greater chance of winning the lottery  than you getting a STAR.

Do us all a favor and step away from your computer until you're mature enough.

this is a really weird topic. in order to get what you want, you need 3 things:
1. Means - the money, the gear, the tools, the brains, and yet more money.
2. Motive - the driving force to complete the goal.
3. Capacity - the understanding of what is needed to complete the goal.

this goes for anything in life.. getting a car, getting job, buying a house, going to college..

IMO, focus on your life, not a weatherstar.. its not going to get you anywhere.

Oh yeah, girls just love that.  :bleh: Well, maybe I'd be an exception, but I get a big thrill just watching your videos of the STAR; they're very cool to see.

Yeah, that probably won't ever happen. Just being honest, yo. The fact that even Martin and Brian got one AND got it to work is just impeccable. Your cable company would never use it either, as they know that most people prefer the info that the IntelliSTAR has to display.

ahem?  :club:

Yeah I agree with Christina here. I love watching STAR vids. There were times, though, that I'd like to own a STAR, but I have a busy life. I don't have time and I'll never have the time.

weatherfan1123 you cant just hand something like a 4000 or XL over to them and expect them to use it there gonna laugh at you and you could get in big trouble for possessing something like that. your gonna make a fool of yourself if ya do that.

If you're thinking about getting a STAR unit, then you really have issues  (no offense)...

The only reason Martin and Brian have their STAR Units was because they actually had money and brains, something I doubt mostly anyone else doesn't have because not even I do.
