Looking for classic music?
« on: January 25, 2009, 06:35:18 PM »
If your looking for music from TWC's past, I've found many sites that have many of the CD's available for FREE. This is legal, as many of the CD's are so old as to be no longer copyrighted. Others are out of print and cannot be found through any other method. Below are what I have come across:

Devo-http://alltribes.blogspot.com/search/label/DEVO-Contains the ENTIRE Devo discography, including CD's with TWC songs. VERY RARE.

Incognito-http://alltribes.blogspot.com/search/label/INCOGNITO-The entire Incognito discorgraphy.

Spyro Gyra-http://alltribes.blogspot.com/search/label/SPYRO%20GYRA-Many, but not all, of Spyro Gyra's CD's.

Stanley Jordan-http://alltribes.blogspot.com/search/label/STANLEY%20JORDAN-All of Stanley Jordan's CDs.

http://backandon.wordpress.com/page/4/-Contains a few different TWC artists, including Los Lobos.

http://beemp3.blogspot.com/-Includes Tom Grant, Dan Siegel, 3rd Force, Alfonzo Blackwell, Billy Cobham, Bobby Lyle, Bona Fide, Boney James, Chuck Mangione, Craig Chaquico, Dave Grusin, Dave Koz, David Benoit, David Sanborn, Earl Klugh, Earnest Ranglin, Fattburger, Four80East, Gato Barbieri, and much much more.

http://www.jazzmanbrasil.com/-Another site with TONS of stuff.

http://jollyjoke.blogspot.com/-Yet another site with bunches of stuff.

That's all for the moment. Again, I must stress that anything posted here is LEGAL and LEGITIMATE. In addition to the factors I talked about to open this post, many of these sites have actual permission from the artists themselves.

Carlos, I know you are working these sites too. If you have any to add, feel free. Same goes for anyone else who has any to add. I'll add more throughout the evening.

Its "Chuck" by the way Gary. Ive found at least 70 CDs...and some of those sites aforementioned I have used. Chezmateo.blogspot.com I believe is one of the sites where a lot of (non-copyrighted) TWC - featured  CD's are available.  Taringa! (www.taringa.net) is a South American blogging section like the 'blogspot' sites. Artists available there include jeff lorber, joe sample, the rippingtons, dave koz, spyro gyra, the crusaders, shadowfax and many more. Another site that features all of John Scofield music is http://rapidshare-mp3s.blogspot.com/2008/07/john-scofield-full-discography.html A few others that escape my grasp are used as well
