Thanks Andy & Pavel for the "welcome backs"! My internet was undergoing some maintenance so I had to cut off for couple of weeks. I missed my internet so much. :( But I'm sure glad to be back (even though I'm replying like... 2-3 days late. lol :P)

Though I'm gonna be gone again for this weekend... heading to San Diego for a break. I can't wait.

Well, if any of you are big fans of groundhogs or believe that seeing a shadow will make spring come sooner, Groundhog Day is coming up on Wednesday.  Do any of you really follow this observance?

SPRING FEVER!!!

We are speaking of spring, aren't we? :P Today's high, not to brag for those of you with excessive snow, was 70 degrees; tomorrow is supposed to be 73. Man, how I love it! :D I hope that groundhog doesn't see his shadow because I want my spring sooner (not that I really believe in the observance, though).

Jim in a TurboTax commercial?

On a different note, the Chicago Crapcast headend is finally going digital. On a TV at school that would normally show MSNBC, there was a message saying the TV was not ready for Comcast's "digital enhancement."

Oh, and welcome back, Ana! :)
MSNBC at your school? Sheesh.

Not at all.

MSNBC at your school? Sheesh.
We have TWC at my school, as well as a few other news channels and the public access channel.

At our middle school we were able to see the presidential inauguration live. We had a choice of CNN or MSNBC. The teacher in our class at the time chose MSNBC, and being a loyal MSNBC viewer, it felt kinda comforting to listen to Chris, Keith, and Rachel.

By the way, despite being a Cox market, we don't have the IS2 yet (Phoenix is #2 in Internet and telephone, so those are probably priorities, as well as the recent rollout of new guide software). We DO have TWC HD now and have had it for quite a while.

We've got several TVs in our cafeteria at school, and the Student Senate is smart enough to keep them off the extreme-o channels (FOX and MSNBC). They're usually on CNN, ESPN, or local channels.

Things have really changed since I was in school.  My high school only had three or four TVs for classroom use, and there were none in the cafeteria and common areas.

When I was in elementary school, we had about 10 or 15 TVs/VCRs/Laserdisc units on carts for use throughout the school. They would store them in the library when not in use. Now in my high school we have LCD projectors mounted on the ceiling in every room. :P

yea thats what I was referring to earlier. MSNBC seems a bit extreme for public school.

Yep. Now all the schools are broke with no money for books or teachers but at least the kids can watch tv!  I remember our school got a bunch of tvs and projectors that never really got used. The school system got a grant and decided they needed to spend the money as fast as possible without looking for good uses for it. Makes me less sympathetic when you hear them complain they need more money.

Way extreme too! MSNBC and FOX in my opinion shouldn't be shown in public schools. I think its important to have a neutral education

Fox news is on my schools system, but TWC isnt.. at my middle school they had TWC on theirs until my 8th grade year when the lineup was all changed up for the Obama inauguration and was never changed back afterward
