I'm doing a Free topic speech, anyone care to input their thoughts. or comment on it
i hate this transistion, I already have digital cable but im in south Texas and it is common for us to be hit by hurricanes. During Ike, I was able to watch what was happening while the power was out thanks to a portable TV I have that runs on C batteries. Well when this transition hits and a hurricane hits my area, knowing that the shitty boxes need power, I couldnt watch whats going on, I would have to listen to the stupid radio.  :club: So when they are brodcasting the local TV channel on the radio station, saying "Heres a shot of the JP Morgan Chase Tower that got severly damaged..." I CANT SEE WHATS HAPPENING!!!  :censored:

3:19 joshua8790: Who put the in n out secrets as topic? xD

3:31 SpringRubberMB: it's all of the burger greatness messing with your power

re: Spyware Protect 2009...

Run this:  C:\windows\system32\regsvr32 /u iehelper.dll
Then delete the iehelper.dll file (I believe it's in your C:\Windows).
Then run Spybot Search and Destroy to clear it out.
Wish I'd done that earlier... I think I had another virus in there as well, but anyways the virus screwed up my system so bad that everything was running horribly slow, and most of the time it would freeze when I would try to log on to Windows. So I just basically said "screw this", and I'm now reformatting that machine. <_<

I think the problem last time is that I didn't get all of my security updates. This time, after it's reformatted I'm IMMEDIATELY going to Windows Update (though I'll get McAfee reinstalled first) and get every single update. It will take a while, as I'm going to have to go from XP SP1 to SP2 before SP3, I can't upgrade directly. But anyways I'm going to get my security updates done before I really do much of anything.

You should Get Norton. The new Norton is really good. My computer even runs faster than the older version of Norton that i had.

I use Norton 360 which works great. It does pretty much anything to protect your computer at a reasonably low price. The only thing I hate is I have to buy a new version every year... it makes better sense for upgrades to be free and the program give you unlimited protection.

That's what I hate about it too, I just got a new copy last month.

I'd be more than happy to offer you some free REAL antivirus protection... Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition 10.2 is pretty much Norton without the candified ui. It sits there and does its job remarkably well, and offers real time protection. If you would like a copy, contact me.

In other breaking news, the HP is up for sale! :( I need to make some money so I offered a fair deal for it... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140312458405&ssPageName=ADME:L:LCA:US:1123

I used to have a huge trojan that almost killed my old comp, so I downloaded (and bought) Spyware Doctor. It really works, and I plan to use it on my laptop (once my 30 day Norton 360 trial is over) >_>
