Keep in mind that McAfee is supposedly the most pathetic in protection.
Actually, it's been quite good in the past.

Coffee tastes like crap. Even with sugar and boatloads of milk, it tastes awkward. I like tea, it's more natural and healthy.

I hate it how you have to PAY to buy a program just to get rid of a virus. There are many computer programs out there that aren't even worth paying for either, like ShapeShiffer.

I've actually had quite a good experience with McAfee since I started using it way back in 1998

I had that two weeks ago and Trend Micro wouldn't remove it. Do a system restore, that'll solve the issue. :)
System Restore didn't work; it failed.  :censored:

Any other ideas? :dunno:

I'm against paying for software in general.

Really!! I restored it back to 2 days before the virus came. Did you try that? I'm also surprise how you're having online access. Spyware Protect blocked IE. It even blocked google.

I'm using Firefox. :P

Yeah, that's exactly what I did, but it says it can't restore due to an error. Wish it would tell me what the error was.

Hmm.. not sure if anyone posted this yet, but apparently FileFront is staying:

http://welcome.filefront.com/

The original owners of FileFront bought the company to keep it online.

The virus appears to be gone now. I booted into safe mode and tried to look for the sysguard files, and none were found. I booted back into regular mode and the virus didn't come back.

I'm going to see Monsters VS. Aliens with my little sister and niece today. And when I checked on the showtimes, I just came across that my local theatre is now requiring a picture ID in order to see R-Rated movies. I think that is weird. But I am like "Grrr, I can't see Adventureland until I get my ID. This is...ugh." :club: :club: <_< <_< I don't have my ID yet.

re: Spyware Protect 2009...

Run this:  C:\windows\system32\regsvr32 /u iehelper.dll
Then delete the iehelper.dll file (I believe it's in your C:\Windows).
Then run Spybot Search and Destroy to clear it out.
