TWC should be renamed the The Commercial Channel, I swear these people are so overly cautious about money and profits.

And how is TWC different from any other network (as far as commercials go)?

I agree. If anything, I see less commercials on TWC, than say Fox, ABC, etc.

They have more commercials than CNN or ESPN. Like they go on a commercial break every 6 minutes. (excluding Lot8s)

Gil, you spoke of Fox and NBC in comparison to TWC. The difference there my friend is that the latter are network stations. They depend much more on commercial revenue than do most cable channels. That's because most cable channels are able to charge cable co.'s to carry them, whereas most network channels do not charge.

If you are going to make a fair comparison, you need to compare TWC to other cable channels.

I meant former, not latter.

It's a pretty simply concept really. When you can't charge the cable co. to carry your channel you gotta make money somehow.

Interesting.

TWC should start taxing viewers directly.

I believe our dear friends at the White House would disagree with that statement. :P

So today is my first day of band camp for the year. First off, it's so darn dry outside, all the grass fields are starting to turn brown and get really dusty, so my allergies are starting to act up. To make things even worse, I started to get a cold yesterday. I'm not sure my runny nose is caused by the allergies, cold, or a combination of both.

Also, I had some problems connecting to the school network this afternoon. Yesterday, when I got here, I connected and had to update the "Clean Access Agent" program which must be installed to access the network. Then this afternoon, I tried to connect and it required that I update Symantic anti virus (which MUST be installed and up-to-date in order to connect). That was a pain in the butt and ate up a half an hour.  <_<

Okay.  Now, I am not a computer expert..at all.  How do I save a video onto my computer from a DVD.  I put the DVD in the "DVD" slot, and nothing happens.  I put it into the other thing, and nothing happens.  PLEASE help me :D lol

You have to "Rip" he DVD, which in most cases is illegal. However, you can find programs on the internet that will allow you to Rip DVD's. I used one called Handbrake, which is free, but I think its only for Mac. I'm not positive. You could do a google search for more info.
