Really? I thought it would cost more with the shipping/handling fees.
Not if you shop around and get a good deal, which I always do. Amazon is usually a great place to shop. I'd say 90% of my personal shopping is done online, and of that, 85% is on Amazon.

What I don't like about online shopping is that there just seems like too much to go wrong. Like something could get lost or broken in shipping or if you have to return something, you have to ship it back. And on top of that, you have to use a credit card at most places. I'd rather pay for things with cash.

VERY RARELY do things get damaged if bought from professional outfits such as Amazon or Buy.com. And rarely does anything go wrong either. My dad LOVES buying things on the net, and he's never had a problem.

And shipping costs are usually free if you spend over $20 or something. Shipping costs still are cheaper than paying tax at a store. Also factor in the gas it takes to get to the store and back.

In general, buying over the net is more economical and cheaper than buying it at a store.

As with Gil, I don't recall ever having a problem with online shopping.

(somehow, I know Gary is going to twist this post into an advertisement for TWCC :P )

For you non-TWCC members... I wanted to share the results of a recent TWCC poll concerning the watches shown on the IntelliStar's LDL (how it shows Tornado, Severe Tstm, and Hurricane watches, as well as the affected counties). This data was taken, and then forwarded to the STAR Team at their request:

Unless you have to pay for both tax AND shipping (Tigerdirect, cough <_<)

Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy, Online.

Pretty much at every store that sells that kind of stuff still sells VHS tapes. I'm not sure why you can't find them, they are still widely available.
Hmm, let's see... Target, Wal-Mart, Circuit City, Best Buy, Online.

Out of those Wal-Mart is really my only choice, and I went there today and they had none. We have no Target, Circuit City, or Best Buy in town, and I'm not that keen about buying stuff online just because the hassle of it.

Walgreens?  Virtually any retail store I can think of..I buy packs at a time

No Walgreens here either, but I hear that they might be building one.

As you might be able to tell, my town is extremely boring.

Got any dollar stores? Dollar stores most always sell 'em.

I don't care about your post Tyler. Though I must admit I don't understand what interest you think it would be to anyone here.

Wow, no Best Buys or Targets? They're everywhere here, but Walmart (which I despise) is even more common. I wish they'd put more "local" stores here. All you see here are national chains, which is likely because my area is newer than at my old place in Bensalem.

Don't buy from there, then. :D
