Indeed. Next time I ever go anywhere on vacation, I'm bringing a VCR and some blank tape, so I can capture whatever STAR they have.

Yeah, i didn't think about the possibility of seeing another STAR. But then again, i'm not gonna lug around a massive VCR+cables.
even a TV Tuner can be kind of excessive. But next time i'll definitely bring it. :yes:

Should have remembered bringing a VCR, Gil :no:  I brought a VCR to vacation last week, because NO hotel ever has any.

That sucks that you didn't have the capability to record the 4000. I wish I could see a legacy STAR someday. I have not seen any star besides the IntelliStar since 2004.

I agree. A VCR isn't exactly on the top of my To Bring list when I go on vacation. :no:

Read my post above. bringing a huge VCR + cables is wayyy too bulky and impractical. TV Tuner on the other hand is very do-able.

Yeah a TV Tuner is doable, but not a VCR. You have to remember, the principle reason for going on vacation is to have fun, not to sit in a hotel room taping TWC the entire time. Now, if I was going to a relatives home in another area or something like that then I'd probably go to the extra effort to bring a VCR.

Probably, but I'd want to do my recording in the privacy of whatever room I'd be staying in, so I'd bring my own just to be on the safe side. While I'd expect a VCR in the living room, I wouldn't expect every room in the house to have one.
