Front Porch? How about the front field? :D

Took this on Monday. It was in the high 70's and the weather was just PERFECT to lay on the grass and read a book. Will be doing that again today after psychology class.

Oh btw, about antiviruses in the PBS (was late in replying): have y'all tried Avast?

The Storm Prediction Center unveiled their new design, which they will switch to on March 28th. Only thing I can say is excellent!  :thrilled:

Like you and a lot of other longtime viewers, it just breaks my heart that TWC no longer cares about smooth jazz music or 2-minute LOT8s   I wish I could be TWC's programming director or the person who is in charge of the LOT8s. That way, the first thing I would do is eliminate the vocal music, bring back smooth jazz, cancel all long-form shows that have nothing to do with weather, and extend the LOT8s. But that is all just a fantasy, which brings even more pain and heartbreak  :(

I'm upgrading my LG Thrill 4G right now to Ice Cream Sandwich, it's current OS is 2.2.2 (Frozen Yogurt). According to the upgrade program, just downloading the update will take 2 hours, and wont be done until 11:00PM, then it has to install, then I got to re-install all my apps and settings, so I'll probably end up going to bed around 12:00am, only to find myself struggling to fall asleep. I'll probably fall asleep at 1:00am only to wake back up at 6:00am. 5 hours of sleep, no problem, one day last week I only had 3 hours of sleep, mainly because that night it took 4 hours to fall asleep. I don't know why I've been struggling to fall asleep lately. I've been stressed, along with my depression and loneliness.

It's too bad TWC doesn't listen to people like you.  I would love for The Weather Channel to go back to the way it used to be.  Unfortunately, I seriously doubt that will ever happen.  Cable networks all over are losing sight of their original missions.  Everyone just wants to copy everyone else now.

Right now I'm working on a few art projects, including gifs. At least something that could occupy my time until the NASCAR nationwide series race at 2 pm.

Although right now I should be outside enjoying the wonderful weather...but I'm lazy.  :bleh:

My Saturday

I go to Best Buy and get my HP Pavilion DV6700 laptop looked at because it started up with a buzzing sound and popped up with a black screen saying "Operating System Not Found." I come to find out that the laptop's hard drive has failed and has to be replaced. So i buy the new HD which was $53 dollars and i was told by Geek Squad to contact HP to purchase Windows Vista recovery disks from them.

After leaving Best Buy i come home and call HP and give them my computer's S/N and P/N to see if they have the disks, come to find out they don't manufacture them anymore. So now i call Geek Squad again and told them what HP said and they told me to Purchase Win 7 which i look online and find out that it isn't compatible with my computer.

Finally i call back Geek Squad and tell them about the Incompatibility and they said to bring back the receipt and hard drive to be fully reimbursed for the purchase.

Lucky my parents will let me use their laptop and Desktop for the time being, now after having the laptop since 2008 become incompatible with Win 7 it looks like even if i started watching TWC again in the future when the IS2 comes to Massachusetts i won't have a compatible computer for my Hauppauge HVR-950Q to upload video clips to youtube anymore.

It can't run 7 but it CAN run Vista. That doesn't sound right. They told me the same thing about my dv4 in 2009. Welp, my mom now uses it and loves her some Windows 7 Home Premium...

I agree. If it could run Vista, it should definitely be compatible with 7, as long as it has enough memory (over 1 GB, or 2 GB for 64-bit).
