I've been to the top of the Cape Hatteras lighthouse twice.

Are you recording them in HD though? this is just me, but i do not recommend upconverting videos recorded in 480i..  the quality doesnt change, it takes longer to render, and if its not the original quality its wasting space on a hard drive
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

Not recording in HD, I made it HD in Sony Vegas. I also used a compressor that didn't alter the quality...it took about 8 minutes to upload.

You're still only recording a 480i signal. Regardless of how you upconvert it in any program, it's still only a 480i signal. It won't look any better.

Congrats! Walk in there with a smile on your face because this is what all those years of those metal squares were for. Just make sure you wear your retainer when you're supposed to. I didn't, and my teeth shifted a bit, but still pretty straight to me.

Do any of you look at the license plates around you when you drive? I literally saw some fifteen to twenty Texas plates in a row just on my way to the grocery store. I know Texas is big enough to be its own country, but I've never seen so many in one sitting in Louisiana.

When I was in Virginia Beach, nearly every car around me had North Carolina plates. Now, I realize it's near the NC border, but I really thought I was in North Carolina instead of Virginia Beach for a second!

I usually notice them too. I often see quite a few California plates... and I live in Ohio! One day we had a boat load of snow, it was the middle of January and I was in the Best Buy parking lot where I saw a California plate and I thought, go home buddy, it's got to be warmer there than here.

I have seen Georgia plates here in Florida, a few of them from Fulton County. Just over the last couple weeks, I saw a Texas plate and South Carolina plate.  I have even seen Canada license plates here, too.

When I was a cart pusher at Walmart, I'd see all types of license plates in the parking lot. Here in southern PA, it's common to see out of state plates like Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and Delaware, but occasionally I'd see ones from further out of state like Georgia, Florida, Illinois, Texas, California, and even as far as Alaska. I've also seen some Canadian plates from Ontario.

Depends on what part of Va Beach you were at. If you were in the southern portion its possible you saw so many plates because people in NC come to VA to do shopping. The Hampton Roads area typically has plates from all over the country since its a big NAVY area. Norfolk is after all the largest naval station in the world.

Hope it went well. I hated my time with braces but I doubt anyone actually loves it. I still ate all the bad foods though haha
