I'm sure you can but I think only for a tuner with hdmi outputs, and those tuners can be very expensive. I couldn't get twc HD clips on my tuner because the my tv gotthe HD channels via hdmi

Yeah, my tuner only has an S-Video jack and a cable input jack. Fortunately I have the option to do it the way I do now, otherwise I would have been screwed when I figured out that my HD box did not have a cable out jack. The tuner I have is completely [HD] capable... but it just doesn't have the right inputs. The last thing I can afford right now is yet another tuner, especially since they have become increasingly difficult to find since I bought the one in my desktop... but also because I'm in debt to my parents about $200 at this point.

Does anyone know how to plug in HDMI cables to a TV tuner to get all the HD capabilities out of my HD box as possible? From when I got that box back in February, I've had to use your typical yellow video, and red/white video cables to connect my box to my tuner through the S-Video jack. Is it possible to buy a S-Video to HDMI converter/splitter of sorts? I'm just wondering how to get stunning [HD] like this:
The Weather Channel - Local On the 8s National Forecast (HD)

is so pretty :O
The object I have attached was my early morning. Please read for those living alone, or in small towns you may consider "safe".

Thoughts? (see my post, I am asking about thoughts on the attached pdf.)

Well they make an HDMI capture card but it won't work for you because it doesn't support HDCP so you can use it with a cable box. The only way to capture a form of HD is either hijack the firewire port on the back of your box. What model cable box do you have? Or use the analog loophole. I got the Hauppauge DVR 1212 ($200 at Newegg) which works great but if you have the firewire ports try that first.

Odd, it looks like it was made by Dolby. Model number RNG110. I found a port labelled "1394" on the back... which I assume is the port to which you are referring. But the problem is, how do I connect that into my tuner? After not having enough to pay for the recent upgrades to my desktop, and with the fact that we're buying a new lawn mower this morning, I don't have $200 :P

What is the model? If it's the H23-600 then it should work. :dunno:

Right now there are several such tuners by Sony that I saw. One sells for around $300-$400
