I have passed over 72 hours of eye surgery recovery and my eyes are about cured of dry eye. I have to go back monday for another check up. My vision is getting better. I'm still being limited in how much time I am online so I won't be on that much on the forums this weekend. I can see the keyboard, but I have to be close to the screen to read all the posts (imagine: 30 post replies and 200 tweets since wednesday! ) I missed everyone!!!
Ana, I certainly hope it goes well for you. I can't imagine it was a fun ordeal, but you sound like you are recovering well. I am still recovering from my wisdom teeth removal last Tuesday as well. It is still difficult to eat harder things (at this point, subs for example). I have a check up appointment with my oral surgeon tomorrow afternoon as well.

I am in Alpena tonite, and I am having a huge deal of trouble figuring out why this northeastern Michigan area has an Intellistar unit. Sparsely populated, no building that is more than 3 stories high (only 2 or 3 that I saw including the hospital).

I hope to get some TWN clips when I go to Canada in 2 weeks. I plan to visit Ottawa, visit my cousins in Toronto for a day, and spend 2 nights in Quebec City. Is the cable system in Canada the same as the US? Do they use a cable box, digital transition is affected?

Mexico still has analog TV as well. But I know a couple of channels that are broadcasting in digital and the quality is amazing.

Here I am, in Mio, MI, about 40 miles to the SW of Alpena using the public library's internet through my laptop. My dad's car has been having trouble with the thermostat and the coolant for the past week or so. It got to the point where it would not run today, and nearly shut off while we were right on M-72 going at a mile a minute (60 mph). My dad has an appointment at a car repair shop tomorrow. Please wish us luck as we try to go back to Lansing.

Sorry about the car trouble. Since you're there, see if you can see if Mio has a XL.  :P Have a safe trip back to Lansing.

So I was browsing through some of the past playlists and I had no idea that "Sea Breeze" by Eddie Reasoner played in December 2008. Don't have the recording anymore on my VCR, but I had no idea I had a clip of that song. Memories..

Thanks Christina! I made it back safely without any problems, though we had to have the heat up all the way the whole way home to draw heat off the engine to prevent further problems and possible damage. I was checking in from the Oscoda County Library, and I could not access any TV, sorry :(

Has anyone seen anything like this before? It's called a "Wave Siren" and I came across it recently at the community park adjacent to my subdivision. Apparently, per the sign I saw next to it, it detects lightning in the area and the siren and its strobe goes off. It must not be that loud because I can't hear it from my house. Here's a picture I took today. Next time a thunderstorm comes I'll try to see if I can get a video of this in action. Figured I share this since I know we have a handful of siren/alarm geeks in here.

Looks like a piece of junk.

They have them around here, but they are THORguard. Mechanical, unlike those electronic pieces of crap. They are installed at all the parks, and are LOUD!

My final result from my last check up: I am 90% recovered! I have semi-crystal vision so I have zero probs looking at my computer screen now! Adam is right, this surgery does benefit me.
