Oil is currently up $20.24 or 20%.

Oh wait...it's bizarre since this is the end of the contract.  Tomorrow starts the November contract, and is at $109.

Yesterday at 2:30PM, the October contract for oil expired.  Because of a short squeeze, the October contract shot up to $120+.  Starting at 9PM with electronic after-hours trading (not real), they started trading the November contract, which was only at $109.

Oil trades on monthly contracts, gas does not.

I'm very well aware of that. I thought trading only occured during the hours the market was open.
