Goodbye, old studio!  :cry: I loved that studio from the first day I saw it. IMO, the backdrops, the newsroom and the plethora of camera angles made for a great nationally-broadcast studio. I will certainly miss that studio. Not that the HD Studio is bad, but it will certainly take some getting used to. Studio 1A and 1B were amazing...god bless!

I wonder what they will do with the ol' joint. From the looks of that final behind-the-desk shot, it looks as if things have cleared out behind the cameras of 1A. Anyone else notice that? I also wonder what has become of 1B.  The old studio really became sketchy after the HD launch, due to the fact behind-the-scenes shots were never used after 6/1/08 there.

That would be nice. Local news stations do that all the time when they scrap old sets/move buildings. I really wish TWC would action off memorable pieces of the old set like the desk, the Hurricane Central podium, the Hurricane Central sign, maybe some old SD cameras, etc.

If they were willing to sell a backdrop, I'd find a way to rent a trucking service to take it home with me. Take out a loan! :P

They just used a really cool shot looking down the runway in front of the projector wall from the right side of the studio. Pretty cool.

Yeah, I'm guessing they are going to do Weekend Outlook, Like EE west coast, just with yellow lights and the big screen t.v displaying "weekend outlook" obviously, with new music intro and graphics im sure.   :biggrin:

WN uses the same set as WC in the new studio. I imagine Weekend Outlook using this same set, or perhaps the anchor desk in front of the mini desk (like First Outlook).

Question:

For Weather Center, Vivian and Nick aren't actually sitting at the mini desk like Stephanie and Mike are, right? :unsure: The only reason I ask is because Vivian and Nick seem very close to the backdrop but I'm assuming the large anchor desk is rotated to show the map in the background and they are sitting at the anchor desk. :yes:
