The Blue Bar of Death Discussion
« on: June 15, 2009, 05:14:07 PM »
Someone had to step forward and make this topic.

What's the point of it? Taking up more space and shrinking the screen size?

Like the one I just saw.

"MIDWEST RAIN"

OH MY GOD MIDWEST RAIN

RUN FOR YOUR LIFE AND DUCK INTO A HOUSE

NOT TO MENTION HIGHS IN THE DAKOTAS MIGHT BE 60S AND 70S........SO FASCINATING

Please spare me my life when hurricanes come rolling in.

I think it's an excuse for TWC to do less weather reporting and more hodgepodge.

I actually do not mind it.  Whenever I am watching TWC, and they are talking about forecast earth, or whatever other nonsense that doesn't interest me, I can just look at my weather on the bottum of the screen :)

I agree with you 100% Timmy. It's so useless...why implement it? I know TWC covers too large of an area but they should focus on the IMPORTANT matters..not trivial weather events.

I agreed with two you. Since it's was added, TWC went downhill. What a boring idea to add it. At least there's were no Blue Bar of Doom 2 days ago (Saturday night).
I actually do not mind it.  Whenever I am watching TWC, and they are talking about forecast crap, or whatever other nonsense that doesn't interest me, I can just look at my weather on the bottum of the screen :)
Forecast Earth dosen't exist anymore.

I don't mind it either, I never pay it any attention anyway.

As much as I hate it, I've gotten quite used to it now and don't pay attention to it much anymore.

Forecast Earth dosen't exist anymore.
I'm pretty sure he knows, he's just giving an example.

That's a great point, and I am the same way as well. It is the same as the icons on the LF and the LF background. As much as I hate it (and believe me, I do hate it), I have become accustomed to it.

Thank You.
Hense, why I said "or whatever...." ;)  And when quoting, why would you change the wording of what I wrote, doesn't make any sense to me.

I think there is no reason to have that stupid bar on every single segment of the show. It's pointless.

If you look on the SD Feed, it might look pretty useful.

But on the HD Feed, it looks pretty useless because it wastes space without an LDL.

So overall, I don't like it.

  Can someone PLEASE beat me upside the head.  I feel like a complete Idiot.  I thought you guys were talking about the LDL blue bar.  I am so stupid.

Yes, I  COMPLETELY agree, I do not like it (now that I actually know what "blue bar" you are talking about :P ).  Definitely NOT necessary at all.
