Correct me if I'm wrong, but someone in the Control Room forgot to turn of the LDLs for that last commercial break. :wacko:

It's supposed to be automatic. Something must have gone wrong with the timing system.

It was first used yesterday. If you hop over to the Front Porch there is some discussion about it. Not sure why it wasn't originally posted here (on in the HD discussion forum).

Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't do that from the get-go.  TWC really doesn't have content that really benefits from HD (except long-form), so it makes sense to go with a LDA (similar to what CNBC HD, Fox News HD use).

Opens up some really neat possibilities for the STAR HD (use a left display line as opposed to a lower, and have a radar, etc).

I agree. I really like ESPNews HD's format, with an L-bar type of setup. Really gives all the information in a nice fashion.
