Mike Seidel is in Hagerstown, MD tonight. That;s about a half hour from here in Baltimore. Didn't realize the weather out there was so bad!  :o

Apparently PM Edition's opener animates longer now, instead of freezing at the point it does in this video:



Of course, it could've been that way for a while, but I never noticed it until this afternoon.

I bet it probably changed when PME went HD; I think all of the shows' openers were redone for HD.

Actually, I think the opener that aired today might be from the recorded teasers, as the colors in the opener appeared to be much darker than the original opener, just like the opener attached to the teasers was/is.

I wouldn't think that they would be playing it directly from a recorded teaser, but I wouldn't be surprised if they've switched to that type of opener permanently.

Jeff Ranieri is still in New York, and he's commanding the pre-taped Business Traveler's Forecast/Weekend Weather segment from MSNBC studios. He's even calling himself an NBC meteorologist now.
