I didn't mean to sound rude or anything; if I did, I'm sorry.

I'm just saying that people were saying that Eboni being on Weekend Now even though she's been on there probably over half the weekends this year; that's all.
But most of us don't have the time to watch TWC.

Now Adam Berg and Kristina Abernathy are here for the rest of PM Edition and Evening Edition.

I wonder why they weren't available for the 5 PM CDT hour?

No, not at all.  People just need to know what they are talking about ;).

On topic now with the whole Kristin and Carl deal.  I watched a half hour of them, and I really enjoyed it.  They seemed to click well together.

Today on Weekend Outlook, they actually played the acoustic theme that they used to use on the full controlled edition. It all has voices talking over it, though. I can post some clips after I wake up today.  :whistling:

Cool; I would love to hear some clips of that theme.

Again Carl and Kristin are doing the first hour of PME today. I guess it's because Cheryl is off, and one member of the PME/EE crew has to fill in for her. They never used to do this, but maybe it's new policy.

Hmm, they're still using the Day Planner backdrop at 7 PM CT. I bet somebody forgot to change the backdrop. :whistling: (or nobody is available to change it)

Around 8:33 PM CT, they used one of those custom openers with an animated image in the "square".

The graphic was *slightly* different from the normal graphic, though. The squares that fly out of the center were more transparent, and the text looks bigger.

Interesting. Those custom openers seem to have replaced the regionals as well; this morning on Day Planner (yes I watched it; I'm on spring break, wooo!) they used the custom openers as regionals, using all of the normal intros (S, NE, MW, W).

Each show has it's own custom opener, AFAIK. DP, WC, and WV have similar ones, IIRC. I have never seen FO's.  :whistling:

Are these the openers you guys are referring to? I really don't like these openers that much. I liked it when they showed the segment openers that had the same graphics as the show's main opener.

The segment openers on all shows except FO and sometimes YWT have been disabled since they stopped using animated keys. Even on FO, however, the openers don't animate back into the studio.

As for the custom openers: DP, WC, and all weekend morning shows use the light blue openers. WC, however, will sometimes use the PME edition openers.

I've seen FO's opener before; I'm pretty sure it's a sort of orange version of the YWT one.

I've seen First Outlook's and it looked identical to YWT's.

Master controlled Weather Center still shows some of its original segment openers. I also sometimes see Evening Edition's Weekly Planner opener.

I shouldn't have said "segment openers". I meant "regional openers." All shows still use their segment openers. (aside from Storm Watch on all shows and the TWC Travel Forecast on EE)

This is interesting - Alexandra Steele did tonight's national Weather.com forecast. Never seen her do that before.

Also note in the clip attached that they still use the 03-05 Afternoon Outlook-like National Forecast transition graphic.

So far, I've seen Kim Perez, Nick Walker, Heather Tesch, Dave, Adam, Cheryl, Eboni, Alexandra, Abrams & Bettes, Alex Wallace, Paul and countless others do the Weather.com forecasts over the past month or so. I think that the weather.com forecasts are now done by any OCM who is in-house when they are needed, unlike last year when they were actually done by a sole OCM whose perm job was to do the forecast  (i.e. Alex Wallace, Sarah Libby).  :whistling:
