I noticed that a lot of the "It's Amazing Out There" idents are based off of this vimeo video. Thoughts?  Thanks :>

With all the nature footage that TWC has gathered over the years plus the tons of long-form programming at various locations around the globe, I find it really disappointing that they settle for a video someone else took for these indents if true.  Why not use your own recorded footage to promote your product?  Just weather footage alone from "Storm Stories" in these indents would do a much better job than what we see now!

Mark Elliot at 11pm ET: "Some will continue to see severe weather coverage while others will see "Highway Thru Hell"

Looks like they utilized the Dual-Feed.

Apparently TWC is giving out something free for getting them back on DirectTV.

I wonder what it could be? I hope its free TWC-related memorabilia. Even though I don't watch TWC as much as I used to, I've still always wanted to own some official TWC memorabilia. Maybe its a free TWC-themed tote bag? Or even a free TWC-themed raincoat? I would love to have that in my collection!

About 20 years ago or so I had a TWC-themed weather station mounted on my front porch: rain gauge, thermometer, and a wind vane.  Unfortunately, it was made very cheaply and broke by the end of the first year.

TWC used the alternate feed for live weather coverage on the 14th.

"Kim Cunningham
April 14
Good evening! Severe weather and flooding a concern for the South tonight! If you live in LA,MS,AL,TN or GA at 8pm we will be live in your states instead of "Raging Nature" to keep you safe!! Join Kelly Cass Dr. Greg Forbes and me from 8-10!"

It's a darn shame it broke. I still have my Sharper Image weather station/alarm clock that I originally got when it was new in 2004. The only downside of that weather station is that it only has outdoor and indoor thermometer sensors and a built-in 24-36 hour "forecast" feature. No rain gauge, wind vane, or even an almanac. Plus, it was also made in China (no surprises there).

Despite getting injured last year, Mike Bettes will return to Tornado Hunting starting April 28.

Nice to know they didn't learn anything from last year.

Just because Mike didn't throw in the towel does not mean they didn't learn anything.

The TWC logo turns green for Earth Day. The LOT8s backgrounds and opening jokes have also changed for Earth Day.

No surprises there, NBC had been doing this to all of their network logos for several years now... but a green background?  :hammer:

I didn't see anything wrong with the Earth Day BG/layout. It's nice to see they have themed layouts for special occasions and holidays like this.
