The episodes of Storm Stories I've seen syndicated on our ABC affiliate on the weekends have mainly been the HD episodes. I think I may have seen them show an episode from 2003 or 2004 a couple of times early in the mornings.

EDIT: With the HD episodes I've noticed lately they butchered the closing credits, it cuts right to a commercial about 5 seconds or so before the credits completely end.

AFAIK, only the Towers version of Storm Stories is available for syndication. The syndication for SS began in 2008, before the rebirth of SS in 2009 by Peacock Productions.
That's correct. They show it on WFMZ every morning and the episodes I've noticed only go up to 2008. Earlier on WPVi they were showing the episode that was talking about the President's Day 2008 Outbreak.

I remember seeing SS in the guide of WCIU, a local independent affiliate.

TWC was using a text scroll on the first forecast segment for each block of Weekend View.
Was this a test or is it going to be used regularly?

I like the text scroll. They should use it all the time like most cable news channels do.

waaaaaaay too fucking much going on in that clip. If they're going to have a crawl, it needs to be bigger and they need to get rid of the airport travel in the lower left as well.

I agree.  Thankfully the Airport Delay insert is gone now, so if they decide to use that scroll again, it'll be one less thing we have to look at.

However, I personally don't think a scroll on top of the LDL looks good like that.  As Jesse said, it's still too much.  If it was solo without the LDL (like one might see on CNN, FOX News, etc.) then it would be better, IMO.

I noticed today has been officially 10 years since Storm Stories debuted. First episodes came out on 1/6/03. They are showing an episode right now on WPVI of all stations :o
I remember seeing promos for its premiere vividly. This was when TWC started going downhill in my opinion. They advertised the show heavily throughout 2003 until the second LBI relaunch.

Also I see the newer shows produced by Peacock in syndication here too.

TORNADOES reported in the Ohio Valley.  TWC is pre-empting taped programming to track the severe weather outbreak as this front pushes across the country.

I thought they might be live at 5pm with the active tornado warnings, they went to tape.
Did they go live at 5:30pm?

Todd, Kim and Dr. Forbes are on for the extended coverage.

TWC goes back to reruns at 6pm.

Wow, that's crazy that they only had a half-hour of live coverage.  I tuned in just past 5:30 eastern/4:30 central to see Dr. Forbes talking about the tornado warning in southern Indiana.  The "Extended Live Coverage" insert on the LDL led me to believe this would last awhile.  Guess not.

This a situation where I believe TWC is making a big mistake.
When there are active tornadoes and storms causing damage TWC should stay live.
I'd rather have storm coverage then an old episode of Iron Men.

It looks like they're now using the solid blue TWC logo during long-form programming instead of the transparent one.

It finally happened, the entire 1am ET Weather Center Live is a rebroadcast from 10pm ET.
3 hour old outdated forecast segments.  :censored:

They are going to have to change the name of the show if they continue doing this.
Plus it's very disrespectful to those on the west coast where it's only 10pm PT to not have any live forecasts.
