I have a feeling that the LDLs they're using now are hybrids between the normal blue LDLs and the red LDLs..
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

Here's a wider view of the studio

On an unrelated note, TWC did a new segment on the 17th that had 50's TV style to it,
Nick's Weather Nuggets

I have a feeling that's as close to "storm alert" you're going to get... It's not exactly a category 3 storm, so I don't think we're going to get the music... We already have the special opener though.

Half-assed, and made at the last minute. I dislike the lower third.

I think that lower third is based off that bug they use during a developing/breaking news at the top left. It looks similar to it.

On another note about the red lit studio, anybody find it interesting they did that, but didn't do it for Irene? Seems rather peculiar, but maybe since the threat shifted towards New Orleans and the all too coincidental timing of Isaac around Katrina's 7th anniversary this Wednesday they felt they needed too just in case it does try to intensify quickly. :dunno:

EDIT: I noticed the Global Forecast Center is now red as well, it wasn't yesterday evening.

I thought I heard that too!  :thrilled: And in regards to the "half assed" white and red lower third, I think it looks a heck of a lot better than those distracting and chintzy looking "lower 3rds" they had on the other day that used a similar background as the "Tracking Isaac" bug.

It must only be with my Charter headend, but TWC has been down for the past 2 hours (only a black screen with the words: ONE MOMENT PLEASE This channel should be available shortly.)
