Here is what I think is interesting: TWC is celebrating 30 years of being on the air and TWC Classics is celebrating 15 years of being a web site - which means that TWC Classics started around the time that TWC was celebrating it's 15th anniversary. Has anyone ever thought of that?

Has TWC discontinued its Social segments, the one that shows the trending topics on the air? I haven't seen those in a while, but I wouldn't mind their termination.

Yeah, good question.. I haven't seen it in awhile. Perhaps they realized people don't care about what others are saying about the weather? hmm..

I hope so. It wasn't social at all. In the past they featured tweets directly sent to TWC or in response to an OCM. These were just random tweets that had weather words in them from around the country. Boring.

The TWC Social segments where they show the top 5 trending topics are done during WCL at 7pm, 10pm and 1am.
Other shows have a digital media center segment where they read twitter comments.

TWC Social really holds no interest for me. I want to see more in-depth weather reports and information, not some random dum-dum's weather complaints. How the polar vortex works, the climatology of snowfall, hurricane belts, et cetera, would be far more interesting. It may even improve TWC's profits. After all, if they ran programming like that plus real local forecasts, what other weather source, online or otherwise, would be more attractive?

Todd Santos on WCL at 1am ET.

So whenever one or both of the regular 1am OCMs are off only one OCM does the 1am WCL.

Well that makes sense, because Spider Man has everything to do with weather.  Wait..  Ugh.  I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point.
