From a TWC press release,
The "Braving the Elements" anthology will feature multiple miniseries, each comprised of four 30-minute episodes, including: "Lights Out," following crews who are the first ones on the scene to restore power during inclement - and often severe - weather; "Turbine Cowboys," featuring the men and women who are pushed to the limit both physically and emotionally as they  brave extreme heights and every conceivable weather condition to work on wind turbines; and "Iron Men" (working title), profiling the iron workers who spend their days hundreds of feet above New York City. Additional titles in the anthology will be added throughout the year.

The "Braving the Elements" anthology might be the most boring barely weather related shows on The Weather Channel.
Wow a show about people restoring power, skip.
Wow a show about people fixing wind Turbines, skip.
Wow a show about iron workers building in NYC, skip.
From the short preview of "Iron Men" it's like that show on TruTV about the guys who work on oil rigs that fight and curse all day.

While I have respect for the people who do those jobs I have no interest in reality shows about them.

    :furious:

Same here sorry NBC/Comcast but with the exception of true weather stories i'm not interested in what you're selling.

According to Kelly Cass' Facebook:

"And here's Sunday's outlook. We have already made the call to pre-empt with live programming due to severe threat, and chance for heavy wet snow in parts of the northeast!"

Looks like TWC will be all live on Sunday.

I noticed The Weather Channel been on for almost 30 years. Are they planning any specials? I haven't seen any news.

I heard they MIGHT have a special in May, considering the channel launched in May of 1982

I remember Eric Fisher said on FB that he did some interviews for it.

No matter, they'll still focus on advertising and showing crap like Ice pilots and turbine cowboys...

7am-11am Maria LaRosa & Eric Fisher.
11am-2pm & 4pm Crystal Egger & Todd Santos

I guess they decided to no provide all day coverage as taped programming is on at 3pm.
My guess is they will be live wither 4pm or 7pm through the overnight.

Jim Cantore and Eric Fisher will be reporting from the north east starting at 5am ET on Monday on WUWA.

7pm-11pm Kelly Cass & Paul Goodloe.
Adam Berg in the Digial Media Center.
Tom Niziol & Carl Parker at the Expert Desk.

TWC ends extended coverage at 11pm ET.

Am I the only one who thinks the 10-11am program hour really shouldn't be branded as Wake Up With Al? Jen and Mike opened the show with Jim Cantore and Eric Fisher doing live reports. I just think it would be better branded as YWT, DP, or another show.

The whole point of that hour if I'm not mistaken is for West Coast viewers, it would make more sense to just have it shown at 10am only if they're that worried about getting west coast viewers.

I don't know if this is a name TWC started calling it, but the snow "event" the NE is experiencing is known as "Snowpril."  How original.

I laugh at all these nicknames TWC comes up with.
