Mike Siedel will be in-studio with Todd Santos from 11 AM - 2 PM ET
Not only That, the LO8 L Bar is back at :08, :18, :38 and :48???
I sure hope this is not a trend. Having two LFs per hour defeats the whole purpose of having a playlist.  <_<
Hakeem: What's up, Jetsons!
Frank Mitchell: Jetsons?
Hakeem: Yeah, you and George got the same haircut.

I'm gonna assume long form programming is going to be partly or completely preempted today. That seems to be the only time this happens so far.

Is there a reason for the different scheduling today? Lee has produced devasting effects, but the storm long gone now, there are no other landfalling systems right now, and I see no sign of severe weather in the country. Are they still pre-empting for the flooding in the Northeast? :dunno:

Well my theory turned out to be wrong, looks like Storm Stories will be coming up next as Nick said not too long ago. If you want to see a positive of this, it's only being shown during DP, the squeezeback hasn't shown up on any other show so far in this fashion.

I don't see why there is a reason to complain if the playlist is already uploaded on youtube  ;)

Anybody know what that black thing is I circled in red? Is it like a clicker or something? Kinda odd to be laying on the floor whatever it is.

If it's what I'm thinking it is, we got one at the station I worked at right before I left. Ours was basically another remote. It would clear anything the mets had drawn on while using the chroma key. I believe it had other functions, but since I left right after it was installed I never noticed.
It could also just be a marker (as in where to stand). When I clicked the image McAfee threw me to a warning page so I decided not to view it full.  :dunno:

I'd say floor mic, but that wouldn't make sense. Also, the squeeze back is being used during Weather Center currently (8:42pm)

The only thing I could think of is maybe a teleprompter scroll petal... But they usually don't read stories at the green screen...

The problem with the L bar local forecast is it makes the video window on the SD and HD feeds way to small.
It's not worth getting the extra programming time if the video window is to small.
Just go back to the full screen regular local forecast and be done with this test format.

You might as well tell TWC Public Relations your solution to this whole mess.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but when they showed the LF squeezeback on DP (I think it was during the 3pm hour) It showed the one for satellite viewers instead of the one for IntelliStar viewers.

The other thing about L bar squeeze back LF is that on the HD feed it's framed for 4:3.
If they framed it for 16:9 they could make the video window bigger and have more space for the graphics.
They need to start formatting for 16:9 and letterbox all programming on the SD feed.

The first L-bar from a few years ago was better in terms of picture size.  However, I think this may have been before HD.
