They are using the old L3RDs, which the ad covers up half of the person's name anyway.
When they aired back in the day and re-aired last year the LDL was never cued

I know, but now it is. Thus they need to make a new episode.  ;)

In 1990 Marshall Sease hosted "Force Four," a truly fantastic documentary about Hurricane Hugo.  They aired it so many times that year that I practically had the show memorized by heart, but it was so well put together that it was worth watching over and over again.  That, and these were the days when The Weather Channel only made a documentary or two a year, so they were always something to look forward to.

Within a year, maybe two, maximum, of Hurricane Andrew striking, TWC replayed "Force Four," with a notice before the program, and after commercial breaks, that it was produced before Hurricane Andrew.

Why am I writing this? :)  Because it's the earliest "this program was produced for..." memory from TWC I have, and because "Force Four" was such a good program!

Ah... "those were the days, my friend, we thought they'd never end..."

Why? That isnt TWCs goal to make shows return with new episodes that havent had reruns air for 5 years and plus under 10 episodes were made

So...Steph is in New York, filling in for Al on WUWA/Today.  She couldn't make it to the first Today show live forecast because she's stuck in an elevator in 30 Rock.

Yeppers.  Matt actually made a big deal about it (it looks like too they reordered their stories so she had an extra couple minutes to get there).

Long-form preempted today to talk about this very disorganized storm. Red L3rds being used. No red LDL, though, suprisingly.

Wait until they discover this storm is no longer a tropical cyclone now.  There's why I think you never should go to the red graphics until it's a hurricane, but the hype seems to matter more than reality these days.

Now I know why TWC went with Richard Knabb instead of Steve Lyons. Rich is more "alerting" to people as opposed to Steve who was more calm over storms like this.

I thought Steve Lyons chose to leave TWC. Was he laid off?

Anyways, I think it is safe to say that no matter if the storm is a weak TD or a Cat 5, TWC will always be in an "alerting" mode. This is part good and part annoying. <_<

Yes, Steve's contract was never renewed so he was let go.
