is it me, or does the thanksgiving holiday travel bar have a glitch from when a cities' name fades out to the next?

I think it's somewhat like a combination of "Why I love Winter Week" and "Getaway Week" (which was in May). From what I understand, it is celebrating the winter season that is upon us. They air ads throughout the hour and are now showing LF intros with some information.

Do you all know that there is a contest ongoing on TWC that will guarantee the grand prize winner a white Christmas by bringing snow machines and their cameras to broadcast there from 8 AM to 2 PM on Christmas Day?  There are also five stocking prizes for the runner-up.  I stumbled upon it on the TWC site at this link:  http://whitexmassweeps.com/

Thoughts about TWC doing this contest?

They've been announcing that since two weeks afaik. If you want to submit a video you have to send in your submission by this Sunday.

I think that's a cool contest, wish I'd submit a video to them...I can sure use a white christmas myself :D

They would have to make some special accommodations for you if you won.  I just find the whole contest rather intriguing as some people will never see snow in person during their lives (even fake snow in this case).

Yeah, it's extremely bittersweet for me to see that on again. It has apparently been airing at 3 PM EST every day this week, but I already recorded every episode when it premiered in 2007 :bleh:
