Got about 1 3/4" of snow.  The rest was freezing rain and sleet, about 1/10th of an inch.

thunderstorm...

Peak wind /estimated/: 120 mph
path length /statute/: 35 miles
path width/maximum/: 4 miles
fatalities: zero
injuries: zero

Start date: may 9, 2014
start time: 4:28 PM CDT
start location: west side of Evansville Indiana

End date: may 9, 2014
end time: 5:00 PM CDT
end location: 2 miles southeast of Gentryville Indiana

Wind speeds averaged 60 to 90 mph... with frequent peaks over 100
mph. The average width was 3 miles. Roughly 100 structures were
damaged, with dozens destroyed. Dozens of vehicles were damaged
due to fallen trees. Thousands of trees were uprooted... snapped
or otherwise damaged. Hundreds of power poles were snapped or
blown over. Damage to one Farmstead was estimated at over 2
million dollars... and the total damage estimates may exceed 100
million.

The high temperature only reached 74 degrees in Evansville
Tuesday... July 15th. This sets a new record for the minimum high
temperature for this date. The old record was 75 degrees... set in
1897.

So far, July is running about 5 degrees below average.  :biggrin:  Half an inch of rain yesterday evening.  A very good lightning show early this morning.
