The drought is over.  Received .07" the past two days.

It's amazing.  Go back a few pages in this thread, and all we were talking about was massive flooding.   :dunno:

You still in the 100s?  We've been in the 80s and low 90s for a few days now.

Water restrictions?  I'm sure whatever reservoir you get your water from has to be pretty low these days.

No 100s this week, but real close.

I hope Isaac will come up here or will hold the front up so there will be significant rain. :dunno:

HYDROLOGIC OUTLOOK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN
227 PM EDT TUE AUG 28 2012

...FLOODING POSSIBLE IN CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN INDIANA...

FLOODING MAY DEVELOP DURING THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND IN CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN INDIANA DUE TO THE ARRIVAL OF THE REMNANTS OF HURRICANE ISAAC.
WHILE RESERVOIRS ARE STILL LOW BECAUSE OF THE DROUGHT...HEAVY RAINFALL ON HARD
DRY GROUND IS ESPECIALLY PRONE TO RUNOFF. THIS RUNOFF COULD CAUSE FLOODING
OF SMALL STREAMS AND WATERWAYS...ROADS...AND NUISANCE FLOODING OF BASEMENTS.

THE TRACK OF THE REMNANTS OF ISAAC IS STILL SHOWING SOME VARIABILITY SO
IT IS UNCERTAIN AT THIS TIME THE EXACT LOCATION AND TIMING OF POTENTIAL
FLOODING...HOWEVER IT APPEARS THE BEST TIMING FOR HEAVY RAIN WILL BE SATURDAY
INTO SUNDAY. THE FORECAST WILL BE UPDATED AS THE EVENT DRAWS CLOSER SO CHECK
THE LATEST FORECAST INFORMATION AT WEATHER.GOV/IND.

SIGNIFICANT FLOODING IS A POSSIBILITY...NOT A CERTAINTY.  FLOOD STATEMENTS
AND/OR FLOOD WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED AS MORE INFORMATION BECOMES AVAILABLE.

FOR DETAILED RIVER FLOOD INFORMATION GO TO WEATHER.GOV/IND ON THE WEB.
FROM THE BLUE MENU BAR ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE PAGE...CLICK ON RIVERS
AND LAKES.

$$

BOTH QPF models are predicting 5-6" over central IN.  I hope and pray it stays right there where it is needed mos.

Have you looked at the new Drought Monitor?  Last week, nearly 40% of Indiana was in D3-D4 drought.  Today, 0!

My corner of the state is now listed as D0 Abnormally Dry.
