Statement as of 2:16 PM EDT on March 1, 2012

... Record high minimum temperature set at Indianapolis...

The low temperature at the Indianapolis International Airport on
February 29 was 45 degrees. This sets a new record for highest
minimum temperature for the date. The previous record was 44 degrees
set in 1976.

Thanks for you concern, Don. :)  It was all south where I live.  Although I was about  five minuets from leaving work when we had to take shelter.  I didn't get to witness what happened.  I toured the area after getting out and only saw some flash flooding.  TWC did show a hook echo rolling through Huntingburg, IN.

A record high temperature of 84 degrees was set at Evansville in
today. This breaks the old record of 81 set in 1982.

For this month... record high temperatures have been set in
Evansville 5 of the past 7 days. A new record was set on th 14th at
82 degrees... on the 17th with 80... the 18th at 82 and the 19th with
83.
