Yesterday we went down to 32° here in South Jersey, the coolest so far this season. This morning we went down to ~35° and we have reached only the low 60's this afternoon. Tomorrow it's forecast to be cooler, with highs only reaching the low-mid 50's.

Below normal temperatures and brisk winds are the perfect combination of a true autumn afternoon in the City of Brotherly Love. Not many Philadelphians are thinking about the weather right now as they've got the Phillies on their minds. The 2008 World Series opens tonight as the Philllies are on the road in St. Petersburg, Florida to face the Tampa Bay Rays.

Variable sky conditions can be found across the Lower Delaware River Valley with temperatures ranging from only the upper 40s to mid 50s for most locations. Winds are breezy, but only a few are above 20 MPH.

It is expected to remain cooler than average for the remainder of this week in Philadelphia, but may briefly get into the 60s by Friday.

In the aftermath of yesterday's highly unusually cold late October storm that formed off the Atlantic coast, moved northward across Long Island and into central New England that brought plenty of rain to the coastal areas and some snow inland, it is much quieter today as the lunch hour is upon us. Variable sky conditions can be found across the Philadelphia metropolitan area from partly cloudy skies in parts of northern New Jersey to a few rain showers on western Long Island.

Temperatures are still well below normal as readings are right now only in the 40s regionwide. High temperatures will moderate as we head toward the weekend as it is expected to rebound to around 60° over the next couple of days.
