St. Louis is among many cities in the central and southern plains feeling the oppressive heat. Temperatures as of the 9PM CDT hour are still into the 90's. With dewpoints well into the 70's and even into the low 80's in some areas, the heat index is 10-15° warmer than the actual temperature. Tomorrow is expected to be the last day of the heat wave, followed by relief on Wednesday.
