STAR Team,

I have a few requests for ID#23238. Can you make the Doppler towns less crowded? The reason I ask is because they are very hard to see when there is precip. Can you remove Capon Bridge, Paw Paw, Clear Spring, Williamsport, Waynesboro, Boonsboro.

Also, on the 8 obs list, there are a lot close together. Can you change Knoxville to Martinsburg for a SW ob and Smithsburg to Thurmont for an ob east of the mountain since it’s a little farther away?

There are also 4 diff LDL cities. Can you remove Knoxville as well and maybe replace Boonsboro with Frederick? Thanks for everything you do. It is much appreciated!

As much as we appreciate your feedback and make any corrections to possibly any errors there are in the field (and yes, we do appreciate your feedback especially for incorrect information we are displaying), our team strives to bring data for the area served (in your case Boonsboro and Smithsburg) and not what individuals see as important to their needs. Thus, most of your requests are null because they fall out of the area served. Frederick and Martinsburg are already on the Metro Maps. That being said, your Knoxville point is well taken. Since "Knoxville" is unicorporated, it will be replaced with Harpers Ferry. Additionally, I took out a town or two to allow for easier viewing of precipitation echoes.

Below is your request from 6/15/2011 and my response then.

 #23238 Request
« on: June 15, 2011, 04:24:32 AM »Quote STAR Team,

I have a few requests for STAR ID 23238.  Would it be possible to change a few cities on the 8 city obs page making it:

Antietam (if that doesn’t work then Clear Spring or Brunswick)
Boonsboro
Chambersburg
Frederick
Hancock
Martinsburg
Taneytown
Williamsport

I know the STAR doesn’t serve a few of these, but many are very close and report the same obs and one of them on there now isn’t even a town (Sandy Hook)

Thank you for your time and reading my suggestions.

Ok thanks for your time. Just thought with the LDL there were extra cities on there than usual. If it's not too much of a problem, since Harpers Ferry isn't served by the STAR itself, can it be changed to Williamsport or Smithsburg then if 4 cities are going to be displayed? Just thought on the 8 city list Martinsburg is a good fit since its a known place to the SW and it was on the list before even though its on the map. Thanks again. Sorry for the requests.
