Title: Olathe, Kansas IS
Post by: kswx29 on March 04, 2011, 08:20:01 PM
I do apologize that I do not know which cable system this is on, but the local weather ID is 22535. This is in Olathe, KS.

On the metro weather map, it has "Olathe" placed twice on the map.  I do know there are two airports in Olathe, both with NWS reporting sites.  I believe this is why there are two "Olathe"s...but the second Olathe is placed in Missouri on the map and I believe this probably leads to confusion among people with the cable system.  Here is a video from youtube:

Besides the overlapping, there is indeed an Olathe, MO and its placement is just as it is on that metro map

My mistake... however... look where Google maps places Olathe (http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=olathe,+MO&aq=&sll=37.0625,-95.677068&sspn=29.716225,86.396484&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Olathe,+Johnson,+Kansas&ll=38.903858,-94.816132&spn=0.455264,1.349945&z=10)

That would be where Olathe, KS is.  However I do see you entered Olathe, MO, but I believe google maps, if a city is mistakenly entered will zoom into the correct city. That's probably why it zoomed into Olathe, KS.

Should be okay now...also, note Odessa, MO was squeezed in to fill the gap on I-70. Let us know if there is still an issue.
