Can someone please tell me what the STAR ID is for Gainesville, FL? My cable company DOES NOT show it at the top of the hour. Thanks!!! By the way the Cable Company is Altitude Communications based out of Valdosta, GA. But the local head end is in High Springs, FL

Sadly neither cable company shows the STAR ID number anymore  TWC dropped the ID screen months ago for unknown reasons.

Well DANGIT!!! LOL

You should be able to find it on the LDL immediately following the ad crawl on every local forecast.

However, according to his profile, he has the WeatherStar XL, which doesn't show the STAR ID during local forecasts.

They don't show the station ID anymore? :o

This topic has been moved as it's not a proper request for the Tech Support team. It does not indicate any issue with the STAR in question. Since you're a new user, brandonmahaffey85, I ask that you take a look at the rules in the future for that board. Thanks.

Nope. That means only IS viewers get to see their ID numbers but not the legacy STAR viewers  My guess for the sudden removal of the ID screen (as well as for shorter LFs) is probably for more ad space

Yeah I mentioned that in the new graphics thread. Most likely for more commercials. Twc will do anything to cut LOT8s and put in as much commercials as they can
